The Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC) in the Hague is going to start its trial operation from 18th April to 21st April, 2011. Applicants with ordinary passports are welcome to apply for Chinese visa through CVASC. Please kindly notice that visa fees need to be paid as usual, but during the trial operation period no service fees will be charged.

Starting from 22nd April, 2011, all the ordinary passport holders wishing to visit China are requested to apply visas at CVASC.

CVASC Service Charges (exclusive of VAT):
Besides collecting visa fees and express or rush visa fees on behalf of the Embassy, CVASC also charges service fees of €30 per visa for regular application, €50 per visa for express applications (collecting visas on the 3rd working day), €60 per visa for rush applications (collecting visas on the 2nd working day) and €60(exclusive of postage) per visa for postal application.
The application procedures at CVASC:
With the opening of CVASC, the following applicants are requested to apply directly to the Chinese Embassy:
1．Holders of diplomatic, service (official) passport, or applicants qualified for the Chinese diplomatic, courtesy, service visa as well as important delegations;
2. Dutch ordinary passport holders, who apply for Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) visa for a stay over 90 days in HKSAR;
3. Notarization and authentication applicants;
4. Chinese citizens applying for a new or renewed passport, travel document or HKSAR entry permit.
From 25th April on, travel agencies must forward visa applications at CVASC. By making appointments beforehand on the official website of the Chinese Embassy (www.chinaembassy.nl), a limited portion of individual applicants for visas may temporarily submit their applications directly to the Embassy, while those who fail to do so have to apply through CVASC.
