Foreign Minister Wang Yi Holds Talks with His Kyrgyz Counterpart

On April 17, 2013, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with his Kyrgyz counterpart Erlan Abdyldaev.

Wang made ​​positive comments on the results achieved in the development of bilateral relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kyrgyzstan, adding China attaches great importance to developing relations with Kyrgyzstan. He said China is willing to make joint efforts with the Kyrgyz side to earnestly implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, deepen pragmatic cooperation and strengthen multilateral coordination in a bid to promote in-depth development of Sino-Kyrgyz relations.

Abdyldaev said Kyrgyzstan cherishes good-neighborly and friendly cooperative relations with China and thanks for China's a long-standing support and selfless assistance to the Kyrgyz side. He said his country is willing to work with China in deepening cooperation on politics, economy, security and humanities to raise bilateral relations to a higher level.

The two sides also exchanged views on regional issues of common concern.
