On September 5, Ambassador Zhang Jun met with Mr. de Bourbon Parme, Special Envoy on Natural Resources of the Netherlands. Ambassador Zhang briefed Mr. de Bourbon Parme on China's current economic situation, its implementation of the 12th Five-Year Plan, efforts made by China in conservation of energy and reduction in greenhouse gas emission, as well as the exploration and utilization of new energies.

Mr. de Bourbon Parme, who will be on a visit to Dalian China to participate in the 5th Summer World Economic Forum shortly, told Ambassador that he's confident that China's development would bring new opportunities to the Netherlands and the rest of the world. He also expressed wishes to strengthen win-win cooperation with China in the field of new energy and to bring the bilateral relations to a new high.
