Chinese State Councilor Ismail Amat Met with Dutch Prime Minister Wim Kok

  The visiting Chinese State Councilor Ismail Amat met with Dutch Prime Minister Wim Kok in the Hague on October 16, 2001. The two leaders held warm and friendly talks.  Mr. Kok extended warm welcome to the Chinese delegation led by Mr. Amat and wished the delegation a successful visit to the Netherlands.  Mr. Amat thanked the Dutch Government for its warm accommodations to the delegation.  The two sides also had an in-depth exchange of views on bilateral relations, international fight against terrorism and other major international issues.  Mr. Zhu Zushou, Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands was also present at the meeting.

  Mr. Amat led a delegation of Chinese State Council Coordinating Committee on Disability for a five-day visit to the Netherlands.  The delegation also met with senior officials from the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports of the Netherlands, visited some Dutch institutions for disabled persons and held seminars and talks with social workers for disabled persons.
