At the invitation of Mrs Clemence Ross van Dorp, State Secretary for Health, Welfare, and Sport of the Netherlands, Chinese Governmental Sport Delegation, headed by Mr. Yu Zaiqing, Vice Minister of the State Sport General Administration of the People's Republic of China，has paid an official visit to the Netherlands from 27 to 31 October, 2002.

　　During their visit, the members of the delegation have met with the State Secretary for Health, Welfare, and Sport, and other related officials in charge of the sport affairs. They have also met the three Dutch International Olympic Committee（IOC）members including Mr. Anton Geesink, Mrs. Els van Breda and Mr. Hein Verbruggen.

　　The delegation has also held a round-table discussion with  representatives of the business circle of the Netherlands. Mr.Yu Zaiqing and Mr.Tu Mingde, Director-General International Department, briefly introduced the preparation work that Chinese Government has been making for the Olympic Games which will be held in Beijing in 2008.
