On April 18, 2013, Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with State Secretary of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Serbia Vera Mavric, who is here for consultations between the two Foreign Ministries.

Wang pointed out that bilateral strategic partnership has a solid foundation. The two sides should further deepen political mutual trust, enhance the scale and level of pragmatic cooperation, expand people to people and cultural exchanges and promote common development to serve the people of the two countries.

Mavric said that the Serbian side cherishes the strategic partnership with China and is committed to expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with China in various fields.

The two sides also exchanged views on how to promote China's cooperation with central and eastern European countries and strengthen communication in international affairs.
